Bible Reading: Ex 17:8-13
Read and pray: "But Moses' hands were heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun." (Ex 17:12)
The brothers need to learn the lesson of being broken, kind to others, and respecting their functions. Our Lord is great, and His work has many aspects. Therefore, we need to be faithful to what He has entrusted to us and learn to work in coordination with others, respecting what they do. Unless they speak heresies, we should not interfere, intervene, or criticize. Only in this way can we preserve the consciousness of the Body and bring edification among us.
The seeds of this type of problem have already been planted among us and have produced negative situations. As we serve together the Lord in His work and share it, we need to rise up and condemn such situations. These issues are closely related to us and will show how much we have already been transformed before the Lord and what life lessons we have already learned. If we grow in life, are broken, and learn some lessons, we will be saved from all these issues.
When the elders suggested studying the Gospel of John and the brother responsible for the home meeting said that this book was too big, insisting that the elders accept his way of doing things, the feeling of coordination weakened. When this happens, we cannot expect the building up of the Body to be strong. If this brother continues to oppose the elders' proposals, the brothers in his meeting will eventually rise up to oppose him because he set the example of opposing others and making his own opinion prevail.
If he continues in his way, how can he lead the others in his home group to have strong coordination in service and good edification? We all need to learn an important lesson. In the coordination of the Body, everyone needs to function and respect what others are doing. We should not criticize others but join in their efforts so that the Body of Christ is supplied, not damaged. In this way, the feeling of coordination will be pleasant, and the edification of the Body will be strengthened.
